Our School celebrates St. Valentine's Day

On 3rd February , the students of Year 4 distributed St. Valentine's Day signs, to start selling them for their end-of-year trip.
We have sold:
  • I love you” small lollipops: £1,50
  • I love you” big lollipops: £2,00
  • Rose-shaped lollipops: £1
On February 13 the students delivered all the lollipops.
We hope this year we will collect quite a lot of money so the money we have raised will be one more aid for the end-of-course trip.
Thanks for your cooperation.

Our school celebrates Andalusia's Day

February 28, the Andalusia's day, is the day celebrated by all Andalusians and as a custom everyone recreates typical and popular things of andalucia.
In our center we celebrate the Andalusia,s day with varied activities and some of them we share with other centers of our town. For example, the primary and infant education center "Los Alcalá Galiano" accompanied us during various performances during the day. One of the main customs of our day is the miller's breakfast, it is basically a muffin with olive oil and chocolate. Students from all our center made presentations about information about our day and their past, there was also a poster contest on the day of Andalusia. They were all great !!!. Later we all went to the gym to enjoy the rest of the actuations . We were very nervous because we knew that behind these performances there were hours and days of rehearsals by everyone and we all wanted everyone to enjoy our performances and receive our deserved applause.
The first three performances were from acrosport. The first performance was by third-year students, they were divided into three groups and each of them carried a specific theme. the first group comprised only of boys and was the "boss". in my opinion they was the most fun because their dance was very strange and really with their performance they made it known that they were the boss.
The second performance was only girls, her theme was "the warriors". I think it was the most prepared performance because they had a very complicated dance since was a large number of girls.
Third performance was mixed and its theme was sport. In my opinion they were the ones that I liked least since their dance was simple and the figures also, but anyway we enjoyed all those fantastic performances. Later the Cantalenguas students performed, they sang three songs, one of them in French, another in Italian and another in English. We all could enjoy their voices and some even accompany them. At the end of this performance the elementary and sixth elementary school students came to visit us to see our performances and to play the Andalusian hymn with instruments. They also made the effort to rehearse so that we could enjoy the song like them from our performances.
Finally, third-class students danced sevillanas, taking our rhythm and our desire to accompany them applauding. In addition, they later joined to dance with them, two of our teachers. It was a great day and very fun.
There was no better way to celebrate it than all together!

YEAR 3 STUDENTS VISITED CÓRDOBA IN FEBRUARY

Last month, the students of 3rd level went to Córdoba.
First of all, the students visited the patio of the orange trees where they had breakfast and later, they went to Mezquita. There, they explained to the students the story about this cathedral. In addition, they was taken a group photo.
To get to Mezquita, they visited the old town while the teacher was explaining the history of this, and also they went to faculty of letters.
Then, they went to see a play in English that dealt with the mysteries of a hotel.
Upon arriving at the theater, the students could participate as actors although none of the students of the center participated. The theater was easy to understand and very fun.
To end the day, teachers and students went to the shopping center "El Arcángel", where many had lunch and enjoyed free time shopping.
The excursion lasted until the afternoon and at the end of their time, the students went to the meeting place where they would make the last group photo to remember this incredible excursion.

I enjoyed this trip a lot last year, in my opinion, it is a trip that should be planned every year.
